Just wanted to inform you that FINALLY the first skin for vBulletin 3.8.1 is available for download in the Customer Area.
I'm finally back and feeling much better so I will have the time to update all of the remaining skins over the next few days.
I have re-coded the Element skin from the ground up since almost all of the modified templates have changes since version 3.7.x
I have tested the skin in Firefox 3, Safari and Opera on a Mac
and Internet Explorer 6, 7, 8, Firefox and Chrome on a Pc so everything should look good on all systems!
One change that you will notice is that now the default fixed width is 960px instead of 670px.
The choice was made to better accommodate the extra links in the navbar that jelsoft added to vbulletin 3.8.x
If you prefer to a have the old width simply go to your AdminCP >> Style Manager >> Skin Name >> Main CSS.
In the Main CSS page scroll down to the Additional CSS Definition page and look for:
and change it to:Code:/* ***** Global Borders - edit forum width ***** */ .inner_border { width: 960px; border-left: 1px solid #6783c3; border-right: 1px solid #6783c3; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; } .outer_border { width: 962px; border-left: 5px solid #c3d5ff; border-right: 5px solid #c3d5ff; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; }
Also in AdminCP >> Style Manager >> All Style OptionsCode:/* ***** Global Borders - edit forum width ***** */ .inner_border { width: 760px; border-left: 1px solid #6783c3; border-right: 1px solid #6783c3; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; } .outer_border { width: 762px; border-left: 5px solid #c3d5ff; border-right: 5px solid #c3d5ff; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; }
Main Table Width (pixels or percentage)
change the value to 760
