I just wanted to let you know what I have been working in the last 24 hours...

Many of you are probably familiar with the many different templates modifications that are going around the official vbulletin sites that allow you to have spaced categories.

They all work pretty much in the same way and for the most part they do the job just fine, however they require that your forums are always child of a parent category.

Well I finally reworked a solution that will allow you to use any possible (i hope..) forum, sub-forum layout without breaking the spaced categories

The code is a modified version of the code that I used to have in my skins several years ago, updated for vBulletin 3.6.0 and valid XHTML 1.0 Transitional.

The installation is a little bit more complicate than normal skins but the benefits for forum admin are huge :Smart:

To make installation easier I have spent several hours today writing a very detailed "Installation Instruction" for this type of new skins.

At present only the "Bluesaint" skin is coded with this new technique, however I will soon change all of the current and future skins to include the new templates.

Templates that have changed in this new version:

forumhome
forumhome_forumbit_level1_nopost
forumhome_forumbit_level1_post
forumhome_forumbit_level2_post
threadbit

I also added a new CSS class ".poll" to the Additional CSS Definitions to allow you to customize the look of thread that have poll :Bomb:

More information about polls css can be found here:

Customers can read a little bit more about the new code here:

The skin is now available for download, the zip file also includes the new documentation.

Please make sure to follow the installation instruction or the skin will not work correctly.
