you say more skins for the customers, but what about old customers like me that never got a "upgrade" of the bought skin? I've benn waiting for a quality "not overwritten version" of the mainframe skin. Its a shame, since I am waiting for an update i've created 3 more forums and the skins im using were not bought here because I dont have the safety that it will be updated, so I had to spend my money on other vb skins sites. Its a real shame let me repeat once again.

Just installed vB 3.7.0 Beta 2 on a element blue # the vBStyles.com aren't working more as they should.
Do you have a any idea perhaps when the vBStyles.com skins will be updated for vB 3.7.0 (Beta 2)?
All the best,
Taragon
PS. Miko, if you might read this, please hook me up as a valid customer

Hi Taragon,

regarding vbulletin 3.7 we will update the skins once it's gold, sorry no beta

Hey Miko,
Its a pretty major update in functionality so the beta will most likely take till the end of January at the earliest. A lot of people will look to run the pre-gold versions just because of the extra whistles and bells. Therefore I suspect that a large chunk of sites may go off your styles if you do choose to not provide a bridge between the beta's and gold.
I understand it is a PITA as the style could change with each iteration - however it does mean a lot more happy customers and a lot less work when gold does come around.
Heck, you could actually take the opportunity to snake a lot of new customers from the sites that won't release updates until 3.7 goes gold ;)
And yes... my site relies on Element and I want to shift over to the new features sooner rather than later and I don't have the time to adapt the 3.6x version of element and therefore I am just a selfish cow :D

You could try to revert some templates here and there to get things working, starting with the MEMBERINFO and USERCP.
It however needs a lot of work, especially with the new profile.
Also when trying to do this, do this on a temporary skin. It’s impossible to revert a reverted template!
Also, thanks Miko for making me green!
i bought pro skin instalation (and i recived it from Gusti)... if the Juice skin dosent work and u modify it.... can u re-pro install it?

I spent about an hour or so seeing if I could update some of Elements templates to work with 3.7.0b2, made some progress but it will most likely take another 4 or 5 hours to finish the job. Since I don't have that type of time and Miko doesn't appear to want to even look at it until gold, I'll need to come up with a new look for my site.
I really don't think 3.7 will go gold for at least a month. I would bet that it is closer to 2 months before 3.7 is gold. I suspect a good chunk of users will have moved on to 3.7 before it goes gold which means there will be a big market for 3.7 pre-release skins. I'll just need to find them ;)
Does green mean you're a customer? If so, why am I not green :(

Yep, I've started to do the same thing, reverted most, brought some things back and altered some. (not being an advanced programmer or anything!)

Officially I'm not updating or supporting them until gold, but I will probably start playing around with element (since it's our default skin) and 3.7 beta sometime soon....
Hope i'm not getting myself into trouble for mentioning it, so please do not start asking me about it......at last not yet ;)
You should be Green Now :)
I hope everything is going well with your family business, and wish you all the best... you have done some amazing work for the vbulletin community

Thanks for the kind words Miko. Everything is going very well here - sadly I just don't have any time to code for the foreseeable future :( I have transferred rights for my vbgeek scripts to the author of Photoplog as she is one of the best vb coders out there and her support is awesome. I think she will do some amazing things with the scripts and be able to support my customers for years to come :)
Thanks for commenting regarding the unofficial support for your skins, I know what it is like in situations like these with the amount of mods I used to make. I think its worse for skin authors as the templates generally change from beta to beta and RC to RC. So like you, I suppose my natural reaction would be to wait until a solid gold, however I hope you see my point that this is actually a great opportunity for you AND your customers. I suspect a large amount of people will switch to pre-gold versions of 3.7 to take advantage of the new features as soon as their main modifications and styles are updated. Use this time to get people hooked on your work - they are (IMO) currently the best vB skins out there.

Any word on updating some of the older styles to vb 3.7?

Every single style is "in the works" for vbulletin 3.7 :Bohoo:
What about JUICE for VB 3.7?
By the way I am having trouble with this skin - auto log off and delaying in displaying pages.
Hope 3.7 version would be more compatible and user friendly
I would be greatly appreciative if the new versions worked out of the box with vBadvanced CMPS and the Photopost products.

They do work out of the box.
Photopost simple uses the vB headers/footer.

I agree for the most part they do, but the breadcrumb section is completely blank. Take a look http://www.bloodbanktalk.com/reviews/
Plus I know I am not the first to report this.
Hi Miko,
In the announcement, you mentioned acquiring another skin site and you'll be offering these skins soon. Any news?
From Miko here (http://www.vbstyles.com/forum/showthread.php?t=4123).
I have some big news for vbstyles, in the past month i have been lurking in the background organising for the future of vbstyles...
I have just finished dealing with tons of paperwork and legal document in anticipation of our website expansion.
I'm not allowed to disclose full details as yet.... but i can let you know that we have acquired another vbulletin skin site!
In the near future we will be offering more skins and better support :D
What does it mean for the end users and existing members?
Very simple..... MORE SKINS
Most of the new skins will be re-coded to have the same high standard of our current range, so don't be worried I won't release them until they are perfect!
I can't wait to see which new skins you'll have in stock.. I'm ready to buy a new skin but I'll wait to see which ones you're going to have available.
Please provide us with some update on this!
Thanks!

New skins, but since more than a year now, customers like me, who paid for Mainframe skin, dont even have a 3.6 working copy of the paid skin.
GREAT SERVICE huh? I just setup 4 vbulletin boards... guess where I didnt buy the skins... ;)

Oh, you have such appreciation for hard work. Tell me, chap: could you make your own skin? Yeah, that's what I thought. Now go and have a cry somewhere else.
