Hi all,

Just a quick one. I took the advantage of 30% off deal and got myself a Satellite skin.

After some tweaking and customization (2 hours), it is now finished. For the first time I am giving my site's visitors the option to choose between Narrow and 100% Wide forum styles.

Hi Surfdude

Did the same thing but I cannot get it to size to 752. I've tried setting the StyleVar but no difference plus I added a new instance to jerk about with and still couldn't get it to do anything but 100% (header and footer excepted) and forum comes up with no border. How did you do it dude?????

Is your forum public? If it is, pass me your forum's url so I can have a look. PM me if you like. I'll help you out as much as I can.

SurfNewquay has tons of custom code to integrate it with vB. On top of that, there are rather large number of custom templates as well, around 50 I think. I got really worried about upgrading to new skin, but I could not resist the look of satellite (and 30% discount :)). This excercise has given me even more insight into vB, and what a massive and well thought out piece of code it is.

Border is what remains of previous skin. This is why it took so long to do. I had to merge two skins, as I like rounded borders better, and it goes well with Satellite skin. All border code is in header and footer templates, and it can get confusing but trial and error can work wonders.
