Well, I'm not sure what the ramifications are, but I went ahead and updated to vB 3.5 and the Aria skin still works. Maybe I'll run into something funky along the way, but so far, nothing obvious jumps out.

EDIT: I take that partically back. There are certain things that are not the same, but no show stoppers at this point.

LOL! Ok, I was playing with the site and switched back to the Default Style and now I can't go back to Aria. :( hehe....sings: "Come Sunday, it'll be alright..."

Aria is a "bitch" of a skin to update.
I want the new 3.5 to validate xhtml and some of the functions of aria are making me pulling my hair ....but the code is much cleaner.
Rest assure the new 3.5 version is even better than the 3.x version :)

Miko: The file Element Phrases.xml in the Element Gold Package has not the current version in it:
<language name="English (US)" vbversion="3.5.0 Release Candidate 3" product="vbulletin" type="custom">
But, of course, you can ignore the version.

After vBulletin 3.5.0 was released a minor cosmetic bug was fixed:
http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/bugs35.php?do=view&bugid=1422

It's a very minor template change. Would be nice, if you could include this in the package. Thanks. :)

BTW: Great Work, Miko!

I found a minor XHTML error in the element skin..

Go to the Template FORUMHOME and find:
<td align="$stylevar[right]" valign="top"><a href="login.php?$session[sessionurl]do=logout&amp;logouthash=$bbuserinfo[logouthash]" onclick="return log_out()"><phrase 1="$bbuserinfo[username]"><div class="smallfont">$vbphrase[log_out_x]</div></phrase></a></td>
Change to:
<td align="$stylevar[right]" valign="top"><div class="smallfont"><a href="login.php?$session[sessionurl]do=logout&amp;logouthash=$bbuserinfo[logouthash]" onclick="return log_out()"><phrase 1="$bbuserinfo[username]">$vbphrase[log_out_x]</phrase></a></div></td>

Hmm, in the package there are missing two graphics (moderated.gif and moderated_small.gif), that are in vBulletin 3.5.0. Look at the attachments, they are from vBulletin 3.5.0.

If possible, I would like to have BlueSaint coded to vB 3.5 when you are done with Aria and other more important skins.

Thanks,
Mike

Will the header logos change? I have several designed for 3.0.x and dont want to get caught with my pants down......

I mean the custom logo header i.e. http://www.vbli.com/forums/aria/misc/logo.gif

No changes in the logo,
only difference is that I included a very easy way to place a banner next to the logo :)

With the new Aria, will the old images (top.gif, nav_bg.gif) still work? I ask because I made a customized version of Aria called Blush (http://www.wbs-reloaded.com to see it) and I want to make sure I can keep it in the upgrade.

Thanks!

None of the old images have changed, I only added a few new ones.
Still not 100% ready yet.
Sunday/Monday I will have most probably only 1 version and will be considered beta, aria is taking lot's of work to be coded for vb 3.5.0 and I want to make sure it's going to work on everyone installation.
